Our party hosts have teamed up with the Education Officer and Drayton Manor Zoo keepers to bring you an animal experience you will never forget. Get up close and personal to some of your favorite animals including Snakes, Bearded dragons, Hissing Cockroaches, Giant Millipedes, Praying Mantis, Stick Insects and many more. Your guests will also have the opportunity to create enrichment for some of our more exotic animals such as the Meerkat’s, Parrots, Gibbons or Lemurs. We will also include many other surprises like animal face painting and a really wild birthday present for the lucky birthday child.

We promise to organize everything, while you relax and enjoy the day. An Animal Encounter Birthday package promises to be an unforgettable experience for all of the family. Our team of party hosts will make sure that your children have a birthday to remember for just £18 per child. Every little guest will leave with incredible memories and a great big smile! Escorted by our exclusive fabulous party hosts and organized by the Hospitality booking crew, we will ensure that every moment is as magical as possible.

To ensure our animals stay happy and relaxed, animal encounters will only run on selected days, to avoid disappointment we recommend booking quickly.

The birthday child will receive a birthday card and an incredible birthday present!

The Party:

You start the day by meeting at the park’s main entrance and are introduced to the party hosts who will be with you throughout the party. If you have any questions or requests, please ask our very accommodating team.

The hosts will begin your 3 hour adventure by taking you through the zoo for a small tour leading you into our education center where you will be introduced to a whole range of insects and reptiles. The party hosts along with the Education team will tell you interesting facts about each Reptile and insect as the children get to handle them*. If any of the children do not wish to participate in the session, or handle a particular animal, our hosts will be on standby to offer complementary animal face painting. *Animal Handling T&C Apply

While in the education center, children will also be guided to create enrichment for an animal of your choice. These animals include Meerkats, Gibbons, Lemurs, Ostrich or the birds in the walk-through Aviary, please start thinking before you come of a preferred animal. This will include creating items with shoe boxes, toilet rolls and egg boxes, so any items you can bring along with you would be very much appreciated. This item will then be checked by our zoo team and laced with some goodies for the animals to enjoy. The party will then make their way over to that enclosure and present their creation to the animal.

The birthday child will either have the opportunity to watch their enrichment be given to the animals by the zoo keepers, or they may be able to enter the enclosure themselves**, depending on the animal and availability, proving that the birthday child is over 10 years of age.** Ask the booking crew for full details & upgrade fee.

You will then be treated to a luxurious lunch in one of our party dining rooms. Each child’s pack will consist of sandwiches, crisps, a milky way, yogurt and Robinson’s fruit shoot. Special dietary requirements must be made aware to our booking team as far in advance as possible. During this time we will sing happy birthday while the child blows out the candles, if you wish to bring your own goody bags, we can cut the cake into them for you. The birthday child will then receive a very wild present and birthday card!

And if you don't wish the day to finish there you can also pre-book upgraded tickets and stay and enjoy the rest of the park at your leisure. Upgrading prices can be found below. Upgrades can also be purchased on the day at our ticket kiosk.

The Extra Bits:

· Every child is allowed a grown up with no extra charge

· There is a minimum of 10 children per party (9 Paying) and Maximum of 20 children

· If the birthday child is over the age of 10, you can upgrade to our up close wild add-on, Full T&C’s apply

· A beautiful animal themed cake is available for an additional £15

· Adults can also dine with the group for £6 per head

· During an animal encounter party, no members of the group will be permitted onto any rides unless purchased the appropriate upgrade fee.

· Animal face painting included!

· No food can be consumed unless in designated party rooms

· If you wish to have a cake, you must purchase one through Drayton Manor due to our Health & Safety policy.

· Parking is discounted to just £1 per car.

· £50 deposit payable by Visa / MasterCard

So you now have your booking and paid your deposit, what’s next?

· Now is the tricky part, finding out who is going. You can Click Here to download our very own animal encounter party invitations. You can e-mail them to people or print them out and hand them out.

· Ask your guests to visit this website to view the few tips below and to complete the downloadable Health and Safety form and e-mail it to us, (it is very important that any children wishing to handle animals fill out this short document)

· Once you have everybody’s R.S.V.P and you know who will be attending, get back in touch with us so we can make all of the remaining arrangements for you. Final payment will be required at least 7 days before the party.

So your party is approaching? Here are some things to remember:

· Please ensure you have read and signed the downloadable health and safety form, you can either bring this with you on the day or send it in advance to FAO Children’s Parties, Freepost BM6426, Drayton Manor Theme Park, Tamworth, Staffs, B78 3TW

· When arriving, continue to the Main Entrance where your party hosts will meet you 10minutes before your party is due to start.

· At some point, either before or after the party, you will have the pay the parking fee at any of the ticket kiosks.

· The party is 3 hours long and things could get a little messy, so please dress appropriately

· If you choose to stay after your party has finished, no problem, you can upgrade your ticket at the Ticket collection point.

· If you’re planning to spoil the lucky birthday boy/girl, that’s great, but unfortunately you will be unable to leave any presents/ clothes or other personal belongings in any of our party or education facilities. Lockers are available outside the main entrance, although they are rather small.

· Unfortunately, due to our licensing policy’s and Health & Safety, no food or drink will be permitted in any of our party areas; this also includes bringing your own cake. We know a fabulous little bakery not too far away who would love to bake your cake for you, just ask the booking team in advance and we can order one for you at a small cost of £15.

· You will need to pay the discounted parking fee at the ticket kiosks for just £1 per car.
